To help keep costs manageable for our San Diego patients, we accept financing through CareCredit® and Cherry. These third-party lenders allow patients who qualify to pay for their care in affordable monthly installments. Plans have no or low interest.
What Is a Facelift?
A facelift is a cosmetic procedure that reduces loose skin and minimizes lines to produce a rejuvenated, supple, youthful appearance. A traditional facelift targets the mid-face region, but different types of facelifts can target different sections of the face. The Types of Facelifts
Mid-Facelift
This approach focuses on baggy lower eyelids, sagging cheeks, prominent nasolabial folds, and jowls. This facelift works well for those who desire an improvement in the middle to lower area of the face and a defined jawline.
Full Facelift
A full facelift addresses signs of aging across the mid-face, lower face, jawline, and neck. During this procedure, an incision is made along the hairline, stopping near the base of the ears. The muscles are tightened to create a lifted look.
Mini Facelift
A mini facelift focuses on the mid-face, jawline, and jowls, where sagging skin and signs of aging tend to develop first. During a mini facelift, a tiny incision is made around the ears to lift the skin to a higher position.

Follow Ups
Prior to your surgery, we will plan your follow-up appointments. Attend these appointments so we can make sure you’re healing well.
Side Effects
Bruising, swelling, and moderate soreness are normal in the days and weeks after your surgery. Any pain can be managed with prescribed or over-the-counter medication. We’ll provide tips on how to recover more smoothly.
Results
You can expect a smoother and younger-looking facial appearance after several weeks, with final results in 3-6 months. Results are long-lasting, but keep in mind that the natural aging process will still continue.
